Irvington - Home to the annual Irvington Historic Home Tour, this neighborhood takes its name from Captain William Irving. If you desire a classic home, but do not have a particular style in mind, Irvington is for you. Just about any style prominent in Portland can be found here. Styles range from exquisite Tudor houses to Colonial Revival mansions and from majestic Craftsmans to cozy Bungalows. The sixteen acre Irving Park offers endless recreation opportunities with its large fields and sports courts. If tennis is your thing, check out the Irvington Club whose mission is “to share among members a love of tennis distinguished by friendliness, inclusiveness and tradition.”
Grant Park – Bordered by Irvington on the west and Hollywood on the east, Grant Park takes its name from former Vancouver resident, President Grant. Styles like Cape Cods, Colonial Revivals and Craftsman can all be found here, but this is really the place for Bungalows and Foursquares. Famous as the setting for Beverly Cleary’s Klickitat series of novels, the neighborhood’s Grant Park offers baseball and soccer fields, wading pool and an off-leash dog park. In addition to the park, neighbors often stroll through the hills off of Siskiyou on their way to Alameda Ridge.
Alameda - Running along Fremont Street and just beside Wilshire Park, Alameda is a short hop to the bustling business districts of Hollywood and Beaumont. Unlike many of the more squarely platted neighborhoods, Alameda winds around the Alameda Ridge, which offers rich views and easy access to local shopping and cafes. Stroll the tree lined streets to catch glimpses of the neighborhood’s rich architectural tradition, which includes Tudors, Queen Annes, English Cottages and more.

Note: As with any city, of course, there is quite a bit of overlap in terms of home pricing in a given neighborhood. Most neighborhoods have a wide range of home styles, sizes and prices.
