SE Portland – Moderate

Fun.  Eclectic.  Energetic.  Historic.  SE Portland is what many of us think when we think Portland. From Hawthorne’s unique ultra-swank bohemian vibe to Belmont’s grand four-squares and Victorians, to the tree-lined streets of Laurelhurst, SE Portland is as Portland as it gets.  Coffee shops and mom and pop cafes, four-star restaurants and bike shops, electric cars, bike lanes and food stalls, SE Portland is where it’s at….whatever “it” means to you.

Belmont –   Not as large or crowded as Hawthorne, but with much the same charm, substance and style.  Coffee shops, music stores, restaurants, boutiques and the like abound.  If you need a great cup o’ joe served up with some killer food on Dave’s Killer Bread and a side of hand selected music, look no further than Sound Grounds.  If you need to satisfy that sweet tooth with a trendy flair, you’ll need to hit up Saint Cupcake.  If the sugar rush and caffeine high give you a jolt of energy, there are worse ways to pass the day than romping along Colonel Summers Park and Community Gardens.  Basically, if you want it, you can likely find it in Belmont.
